
Pios Rodaman (Pio-Carlos Carrijo Roda)

Pios Rodaman was born Pio-Carlos Carrijo Roda in Niterói, Rio de Janeiro on January 12, 1953. He signed all of his paintings PIO RODA until 1998, PIUS
RODAMANO from 1999 to 2003, and did not create a single piece of art in 2004. Currently he signs his works, PIOS RODAMAN, which he has done since
2005, in homage to his American mother, Ms. Ruth Erman
Pios had his first drawing lessons at the Instituto Abel, in Niterói, while he also attended elementary school. Later, he studied Artistic Drawing in the studio of
Ana Canella, as well as contemporary painting and art history at the Universidade Santa Úrsula. With Antonio Machado, he learned Free Painting and Theory
of the Colors and the Lines. He travelled to the United States of America in October of 1999, by invitation of Suzana Faccini Gallery, in Miami Art District, to
show the third phase of his paintings, developed with the uses of used lubricative oil for automobiles, pigment and wax (Encaustic). He was enchanted by the
Country and the diversity of the North American market of art. He decided to establish himself, not without difficulty. A known and influent Interior Designer,
Mr. Bill Chadwick, started to include his works in his projects. In November of 2003 Bill passed away and Pios entered in deep depression,and 2004 was a
blank year in his production of art. In 2005 he returned to paint again, now using the acrylic. He studied with Mr. Miles Laventhal and he adopted Pios
Rodaman as his artistic name. At this time he was selected as Signature Member of the Boca Raton Museum of Art - Fl, where he lives, starting to show his
works at the gallery - Boca Raton Museum of Art - The Artist Guild. Signature Member of the Boca Raton Museum of Art - Fl, where he lives, starting to show his
works at the gallery - Boca Raton Museum of Art - The Artist Guild. In 2006 he was selected for the exhibition “Biannual” at the same Museum. In 2006/07 he
signed a contract with Agora Gallery in New York, and the Gallery started to represent his work in that city and it is already planed an exhibition started to
